Beth Meier, owner of iThrive Yoga, was interview by the Denver Post recently.
How did you get involved in this business?
I am a financial planner by trade, but I was introduced to yoga and Pilates as a result of a TMJ surgery that injured my inner ear canal. I became profoundly deaf in one ear and my entire balance system was destroyed. I started practicing yoga to help with my vertigo and to build my core strength for better balance. After practicing yoga, I not only improved my physical health, but I learned to relax and find peace and strength in confronting other challenges in my life. After these life-changing experiences, I realized how helpful it would have been to have learned these skills earlier in my life. It was then that I decided to seek specialized training to teach children and teens.
