I am originally from Ohio and moved to Colorado 3 years ago with my husband and puppy Titan. Colorado is my new home and I love spending my time hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding in the mountains. When I am not teaching yoga, I am a Human Resource Director for a local company. I have been teaching yoga for 7 years in various environments including schools, gyms, colleges, and private settings. My yoga training includes my 200 RYT from Corepower, Anatomy and Alignment Yoga Certification, 100 RYT Trauma Yoga, and Kids Yoga and Mindfulness Certification.
My yoga journey began when I was suffering from numerous injuries from 10 years of collegiate and competitive running. For the next 3 months, I took yoga several times a week leading into a Duathlon I was training for. I ran the best race of my life, and contributed it all to yoga. I had never felt so balanced, grounded, and in control of my breath and body in a race. I was hooked.
While I entered the Health and Wellness world via being a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, I soon fell in love with teaching yoga. Yoga saved my life personally from a battle with anxiety, depression, and fatigue. I learned to tune in to my body?s whispers, and to acknowledge my true self. My passion is to make yoga accessible to all people, and for yoga to bring them a deep connection to their true self, while healing their physical body. Specialties include using yoga to treat PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, and sport related injuries.
