Class Descriptions

Gentle Hatha

In this Hatha Yoga Class you will use physical postures, or asanas, to align your body and allow energy to flow freely. You also learn breathing techniques, or pranayamas, which also help regulate the flow of energy and enable you to master your mind and attain balance.

Gentle Flow

This class is designed for students who want a class that focuses on easy stretching and breathing exercises to open the mind and body. Students will learn basic asanas and how to align the body in a safe and beneficial manner while in the poses. This class is also excellent if you are returning to yoga after a hiatus or rehabbing from an injury and want to reintroduce yourself gently to yoga practice.

Power Thrive Vinyasa

The room is intentionally heated to 90-95 degrees. It is heated to warm and lengthen your muscles, and allow for a deeper release in your body. Perspiring will also help flush toxins and poisons from your body and cleanse your system. This class combines Vinyasa (flow) with long holds and lengthening, bringing focus to breath, core and hips. The magic of this class is that everyone is practicing the same postures at different levels. Students will experience the flowing breath and synchronized movement and the principles of alignment. Prior yoga experience is recommended.

Thrive Vinyasa

This class will offer intense cardio and strength-building exercises, as well as some core work, and a handful of positions to increase flexibility. There is quite possibly no better overall workout than a really strong Vinyasa flow class. This practice itself is often considered a “moving meditation”. The class will include many sun salutations and an opportunity to move through several asanas with your own breathe and pace. It is well established that Vinyasa flow yoga does effectively promote overall mental health, lower stress, increased focus and concentration, and better sleep. Gentle Hatha - In this Hatha Yoga Class you will use physical postures, or asanas, to align your body and allow energy to flow freely. Breath and Meditation Flow

Purify the body and mind while learning more about breathing patterns and how to function more efficiently. That is the benefit of pranayama and asana practiced mindfully. The conscious prolongation and retention of breath. Follow guided breathing exercises and mindful movement to still the senses and make the mind calm and peaceful. This is a 75 minute class.

Kundalini

Experience a unique practice combining chanting, movement and breath. Energy builds throughout the class while your instructor guides a repeated series of mantras, rapid movements and breath work, followed by meditation, relaxation and a closing cheerful song. Kundalini students benefit from better balance of the glandular and nervous systems.

Yin Restorative

This class gives students an opportunity to unwind. Yin yoga is a cooling practice that brings awareness to the present moment. Postures will be held passively to release tension in the physical body, bring balance to the energetic body and develop awareness of the mind. Guided meditations will be offered to help students quiet their mind; find their breath and release stress and tension. Yoga experience is not needed, only the desire for a peaceful mind and body.

Yoga Sculpt

Yoga Sculpt is a total body workout designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. Free weights serve as your own personal adjuster as you move through yoga sun salutations and other yoga postures, enabling extra length and depth in each yoga pose.
